Federal Electric Vehicle Grants
Edmonton residents can access Federal government rebates if they own or have a lease-eligible zero-emission vehicle (ZEV). The following vehicles are considered to be ZEVs:
battery-electric
plug-in hybrid electric
hydrogen fuel cell
There are two types of rebates:
- Electric battery, hydrogen fuel cell and plug-in hybrid cars are eligible for a $ 5,000 rebate
- Plug-in hybrid cars are eligible for a $ 2,500 rebate.

Edmonton Volvo Dealership Gets Six New Chargers from ChargePoint and ABB
The EV boom is alive and well, even in cold weather climates like Edmonton. We installed a record number of chargers in 2022 for both single and multi-unit residential environments, businesses and commercial spaces. We recently had the opportunity to work with Volvo of Edmonton and installed multiple units to ready their operations for EV sales and service.
Bosch DC Fast Charger + Siemens Level 2 Chargers for Dealership: GO Kia (Go Auto Group)
BLDG experience with installing charging stations has broadened in the last two years as we have become familiar with several products on the market. GO Kia hired us to install a series of chargers on its dealership grounds including a EV3000 Bosch DC Fast Charger.
The benefit to the dealership was that they could deliver a quick charge to their customers’ EVs that were in for service.
New Project: Tellus 60kw EV Fleet Solution
We recently supplied and installed 2 – 60kW EV chargers to this clients facility to expand on their existing infrastructure. Each charger can facilitate 2 vehicles simultaneously. We have now installed over 300kW of chargers at this site!
